Month 5 - Step 2 - Week 1

MONTH FIVE

RECOVERY STEP THREE

"Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him."

Monthly Theme

Choosing God's Will Over My Own

Monthly Memory Verse

Proverbs 3:5–6

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."

Month Five Purpose

Step One taught us we could not save ourselves.

Step Two introduced us to the God who could.

Step Three asks us to make the greatest decision of our lives—not merely to believe in God, but to surrender our will and our lives into His loving care.

Surrender is often misunderstood. It is not weakness, defeat, or losing our identity. It is the daily choice to trust God's wisdom above our own, believing that His plans are always better than ours.

Step Three is not a one-time decision. It is a daily lifestyle of yielding our thoughts, choices, relationships, and future to Jesus Christ.
