Month 2 - Living Inside God's House

Finding Your Place

"So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others."
Romans 12:5

Month 2 Purpose

Month One taught us how to become a Christian.

Month Two teaches us how to become part of God's family.

Many believers leave church—not because they stop believing in Jesus—but because they never truly believe they belong.

They compare.

They become quiet.

They judge themselves.

They feel everyone else knows the Bible better.

Everyone else prays better.

Everyone else has friends.

Everyone else has a ministry.

The enemy whispers,

"You don't fit here."

God says,

"You belong."

This month is designed to destroy the lies of comparison and replace them with the truth that every believer has a place in God's house.

During this month you will learn:

  • How to become comfortable in church.
  • Why comparison destroys growth.
  • How to build healthy friendships.
  • How to enjoy God's creation again.
  • Why gratitude changes your perspective.
  • How to become involved instead of isolated.
  • Why asking questions is a sign of wisdom—not weakness.
  • Why every Christian grows at a different pace.
  • How to discover where you belong in the Body of Christ.

Monthly Memory Verse

Romans 12:5

"So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others."

By the end of the month the student should know this verse from memory.

Monthly Devil's Lie

"They're all better Christians than me."

God's Truth

"They are not better.

Some have simply been walking with Jesus longer."

Monthly Objective

By the end of this month the student should be able to say:

"I belong in God's family.

I don't need to compare myself with anyone.

God has prepared a place for me."

Monthly Project

Building My Church Family Notebook

Throughout the month the student will create a notebook containing:

  • Names of new people they met
  • Testimonies they heard
  • Ministry observations
  • Prayer requests
  • Gratitude journal
  • Questions they asked
  • Bible notes
  • Volunteer experiences
  • Personal growth

At the end of the month they will have a record of how God connected them with His people.
